According to Article 16 of Law 4957/2022 (Government Gazette A’ 141), the Senate is composed of the following:

a) The Rector,

b) The Deans of the Schools,

c) The Chairpersons of the Departments,

d) One (1) representative from each category of the Special Educational Personnel (Ε.Ε.Π.), Laboratory Teaching Staff (Ε.ΔΙ.Π.), and Special Technical Laboratory Staff (Ε.Τ.Ε.Π.) of the Higher Education Institution (Α.Ε.Ι.), provided they serve in corresponding categories of personnel,

e) Student representatives totaling ten percent (10%) of the total members of the Senate from categories (a) to (c). If, based on this percentage, a decimal number is obtained that is greater than 0.5, it is rounded up to the nearest whole number, with the obligation to ensure representation of each study cycle by at least one (1) student.

The Deputy Rectors have the right to participate in Senate meetings without the right to vote, with specific areas of responsibility assigned to them on a case-by-case basis.
