Τhe Ambassador of France to Greece visited Harokopio University of Athens!

 

A new, dynamic era for internationalization and the development of academic collaborations was officially initiated with the visit of the Ambassador of France to Greece Laurence Auer, to the Harokopio University of Athens.

 

On March 18, 2025, the Rector of Harokopio University of Athens, Professor Georgios Dedousis, had the honor of welcoming the French Ambassador to Greece, the Scientific and University Cooperation Attaché & Deputy Director of the French Institute of Greece, Matthieu Abgrall, and his Deputy Katerina Spyropoulou, in a meeting that highlighted the crucial role of international academic collaboration and the enhancement of educational and research networking.
 
The meeting was attended by the Vice Rectors Professor Chryssa Sofianopoulou and Associate Professor Georgios Boskou, the Member of the Board of Administration and President of SiG, Associate Professor Christos Michalakelis, the Executive Director Georgia Papadiotou, the Dean of the School of Health Science and Education, Professor Ioannis Manios, the Presidents of the Departments of Economics & Sustainable Development and Geography, Associate Professor Vassiliki Costarelli and Professor Petros Katsafados, as well as the Director of the International MSc in Sustainable Tourism Development, Assistant Professor Sofoklis Skoultsos.
 
During the visit, a constructive dialogue was held, featuring proposals and perspectives aimed at strengthening existing collaborations and, most importantly, fostering new and innovative partnerships with French Institutions. These discussions were aligned with Harokopio University’s strategic plan for internationalization and outreach.
 
The Rector, Professor of Harokopio University of Athens, Georgios Dedousis and the Ambassador of France to Greece Laurence Auer expressed their confidence that this visit would serve as a starting point for a strong and mutually beneficial collaboration, with a shared vision of strengthening scientific and academic ties between Greece and France.
